Jaime Leal Anaya was born in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico in 1970, the youngest of five brothers. Right before commencing graduate studies in Mexico, in the area of industrial engineering, he was offered a scholarship at the University of Maynooth in Ireland, where he completed a diploma in philosophy and a bachelor's degree in theology, where he excelled in the areas of ancient languages, the literary criticism of ancient texts, and the history of religious thought.
Upon obtaining his bachelor's degree in theology, the University sponsored him to pursue research work at the University of Salamanca, Spain, in preparation for his master's degree and licentiate in theology (the postgraduate degree of S.T.L. - Sacrae Theologiae Licentiatus). His research work focused on one of the most controversial cases of the Spanish Inquisition: the life and works of Salamanca's Professor Fray Luis de Leon, the only person accused of heresy to endure five years imprisonment by the Inquisition and be released completely free of charges. Miguel de Cervantes celebrated Fray Luis de Leon as the precursor of the Spanish language, the first one to publish a translation of biblical texts in Spanish and the original publisher of the famous mystic and writer, Theresa of Avila.
In his master's dissertation, he proposed an evolutionary, transformative understanding of religious belief, God, and the divine — rather than insisting on a stark separation between humanity and God's transcendence — based on his research on Spanish mysticism during the Renaissance, specifically through the works of Fray Luis de Leon, Theresa of Avila, Juan de la Cruz, and others. His work received first place at the University of Maynooth.
Upon completion of his studies in Ireland, he continued his research and education in Ramtha's School of Enlightenment, the closest school of thought to the supernatural experiences claimed by the Spanish mystics of the Renaissance.
Jaime worked as the literary editor of JZK Publishing, the official publishing house of Ramtha's School of Enlightenment, the School of Ancient Wisdom, for more than 10 years. His editorial work on Ramtha's teachings include more than two dozen books of Ramtha in the original English language of the teachings, a Glossary of concepts and terms, as well as various commentaries that indicate the significance of Ramtha's thought in the light of the major philosophical trends of the world and those quintessential questions that have remained unanswered throughout the ages.
Some of the publications he has worked on are: Ramtha, A Beginner's Guide to Creating Reality, Revised and Expanded and the Third edition; Ramtha, The Mystery of Birth and Death: Redefining the Self; Ramtha, The White Book, Revised Edition; Ramtha, A Master's Reflection on the History of Humanity, Part I, Human Civilization, Origins and Evolution, and Part II, Rediscovering the Pearl of Ancient Wisdom; Ramtha, That Elixir Called Love; Ramtha, Last Waltz of the Tyrants, the Prophecy Revisited, as well as the publication, Ramtha, the Fireside Series; and several articles published in popular magazines of the United States and Mexico.
He represented Ramtha's School of Enlightenment at the 2001 annual conference of the Society for the Anthropology of Consciousness, associated with the American Anthropological Association. Renowned psychologist Stanley Krippner, one of the scientists who studied the phenomenon of channeling through JZ Knight during 1996-1997, also made a presentation of his findings at that conference.
Jaime Leal-Anaya has participated in multiple radio programs and interviews in the United States, Mexico, and appeared in television in various shows across South America. At the end of 2007, he was featured in Ecuador's TV show, "Recetas para el Alma" by ECUAVISA, as a special guest representing Ramtha's School of Enlightenment. Jaime was also the closing speaker at the Mundiconsciencia Conference in Ambato, Ecuador, and made a apecial presentation to the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of San Francisco in Quito, and anotherone at Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Jaime Leal-Anaya has continued his studies and education at Ramtha's school and is part of the team of appointed teachers and instructors of RSE since 2009. Jaime has been part of RSE World Tour events held in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Romania. In 2011, he became part of the editorial team of SuperConsciousness Magazine, the Voice for Human Potential. Currently, he is working on his series of books, The Archeology of the Forgotten Gods. Book One, Salamanca's Cave. In Autumn 2012, he launched the collection of new Ramtha books in Spanish, NORTH STAR RAM. The first title of this collection is Mind Gladiators of the Future, The Unusual Story of How to Become a Master of Time, Conquer One's Self, and Reach Immortality, which is only available in Spanish at this time.
